The first thing I noticed about this coat is that it has a very nice double handed zipper that runs along the back of the coat. This is great because when you’re out hiking in the woods and you need to grab something, grab it quick so your hands don’t get to freeze, now this coat has a zipper that runs from top to bottom which I find very convenient. The next thing I noticed was that there was an outside zip pocket on the inside of the black shearling jacket. This definitely adds a lot of convenience to the coat. There are also side zippers on the sleeves and around the neck, which are great for those short days when you need to get dressed very quickly. Also the black shearling jacket really does stay warm even if you are sitting by a fire for an extended period of time, which I have done on more than one occasion.
